2nd Las-ay Festival from my handyphone camera

>The 2nd Las-ay Festival was held last July 2, 2010 at the New Doot Beach grounds.

I captured some of the scenes through my cellphone camera . . .

The photos are not so clear especially at night . . .

But still the lively atmosphere can be conveyed below . . .


During the preparations in the morning I was swimming at the beach and took the chance to snoop around. Here I checked one of the ropes if sturdy enough . . .


At night . . . at the party I arrived late. But some people were already filled-up with our famous
Gigaquit Rhum and grinning from ear to ear . . . and some were dazed . . .


But when the dancing started . . .


and the temperature was rising . . .


People got energized fuelled by the guzzling pour of las-ay (Gigaquit Rhum) . . .


The band was happy . . .


and performed a cocktail of dance music . . . Lady Gaga, Justine Bieber . . . you name it . . .


after them the other band also sprung into action . . .


they would not allow to be outdone . . .

. . . the two bands instead of getting tired wanted to go on and on. Some of them also due to the
Gigaquit Rhum "vitamin". The almost continuous dancing lasted until 2AM the next day. It was stopped
not because the people or the band got tired but because the organizers were already too sleepy.
They have been up working from early morning time of July 2.

Congratulations to the Gigaquit Local Government especially the tourism office for the successful affair!
