The Lumad Gigaquitnon Worldwide (LGW) Singing Idol – Season 1 was held successfully last November 19, 2011 at the Gigaquit Municipal Multi-purpose Hall. Out of more than 35 hopefuls, 13 passed the audition and will have the chance to be part of the few who will hurdle the semi-finals on December 30, 2011. The finalists will go on to compete on April 5, 2012 during the fiesta of Barangay Alambique, Gigaquit for the final “Singing Idol” competition.
For the December 30, 2011 semi-finals, the following are the qualified contestants . . .

The LGW also hopes that this activity will help wean away the Gigaquitnon youths from engaging in illegal drugs.
Backtracking a bit, as a reference to the readers, the rough mechanics of this event are as follows . . .
PROJECT: 1ST LGW SINGING IDOL SEARCH – SEASON 1
MECHANICS OF THE CONTEST:
1. APPLICANTS
- Ages not less than 13 and not more than 19 years old
- Male or female, bona fide resident of Gigaquit, Surigao del Norte
2. APPLICATION FORMS & REQUIREMENTS
- All aspiring applicants should seek an application form to fill-up
- 1pc 2x2 ID picture with white background
- Photocopy of birth certificate
3. NUMBERING OF CONTESTANTS
- All qualified contestants shall be pre-numbered accordingly
- Number shall be assigned to the applicant
4. TIME, DATE & VENUE OF REGISTRATION
- Schedule will be on OCTOBER 15, 2011 Saturday
- Starts from 9:00am - 11:00am & 1:30pm – 3:30pm
- @ Gigaquit Multipurpose Hall
5. TIME, DATE & VENUE OF AUDITION
- Schedule will be on OCTOBER 29 & 30, 2011 Saturday & Sunday
- Starts from 3:00pm – 6:00pm
- @ Gigaquit Multipurpose Hall
(Note: Time, Date & Venue is subject for review and availability of the contest committee)
6. ELIMINATION PROCESS
- In case of overwhelming number of applicants, there will be a by batch of performance
- 1st batch of performers shall perform on assigned date
7. SUCCESSFUL CONTESTANTS
- Those who passed the audition will advance to the 2nd level of competition
8. SEMI-FINAL PROCESS
- Those successful contestants shall perform to advance in the semi-finals
- Note: Date & Venue will be announce by the committee tentatively January 14, 2012 & February 11, 2012
9. SEMI-FINALISTS
- Those who passed the semi-finals will advance to FINALS
10. FINALS
- All finalists of 1st LGW Singing Idol Search of Season 1 shall perform on April 6, 2012 in the celebration of Brgy. Alambique fiesta.

salamat Steve,an LGW maninguha na mahatagan nan sakto na mga aktividades isab,most specially para sa mga kabatan onan,na mahatagn cla nan chansa ipakapakita nila an ila talento sa pagkanta,matagaan cla nan inspirasyon,maiwaksi cla sa mga guinadili na drugs na isa samga damgo nan LGW na mawaya na jaon na problima,hand in hand an LGW bout mo kooperar sa LGU,kon may ila man galing programa para pag kontrolar o pag eradicate nan drugas sa ato lungsod.....
